Our CEO participated in the 16th Annual Africa Property Investment Summit, which brought together real estate, urban development, and finance.

Together with Guy Briggs (dhk Architects) and moderated by Gareth Pearson (Mission for Inner City Cape Town), the discussion explored what regeneration means at a precinct scale in Africa, with discussions linked to climate resilience, sustainability, investment models and practical strategies for designing and operating successful precincts.

During the session, our CEO highlighted both the technical and human reasons for repurposing existing assets. Beyond feasibility and performance benefits, they emphasised the soul, character and social value that come from retaining and adapting what cities already have. In response to a question about the Olympics as a model for regeneration, they referenced the long-term transformation of the north of Paris, where sustained investment over three decades has reshaped entire districts.

The summit convened more than 500 developers, investors, city shapers and thought leaders, creating an important platform for sharing approaches to regeneration and the reuse of existing assets across the continent.
