Rashiq Fataar presents “Everything is TOO Big” at the 2025 SCAPE Magazine Design Emporium

At the SCAPE Magazine Design Emporium, our CEO shared the message “Everything is TOO big”, drawing on conversations with clients and city teams across South Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.

The talk highlighted a range of global examples: from Cape Town’s Foreshore and our CITYLIFT concept, which proposes trimming superblocks to 60 × 60 m, to public spaces that either separate communities or bring them together, and the rediscovery of narrow heritage paths in Saudi Arabia. Other case studies included Rotterdam’s family-scale walking and cycling routes, Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu Stadium and its optimisation of a single city block, and the value of learning from smaller towns when shaping national mobility strategies.
